A: GMZBIZ is a free searchable database of businesses. Each business listing contains a description of the business products and services, as well as publicly available contact information. Greater Mt Zion's intent is to help promote economic growth within the Austin communities we serve.

Q: What geographical area does GMZBIZ cover?
A: GMZBIZ serves the entire Austin area including surrounding Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties.

Q: Must my business have an address in the supported geographical areas?
A: Yes.

Q: What types of businesses are NOT allowed?
A: Businesses that offer illegal services or promote illegal or inappropriate services or products. GMZBIZ reserves the right to accept or reject any business for this directory.

Q: What should my business listing description contain?
A: It's really simple, actually. Just provide a concise factual description of the goods and/or services your business provides. Do your best in describing what you do, we'll review it and make any necessary modifications.

Q: How long will it take to get my business listing posted to GMZBIZ directory?
A: It will take 48 hours for your listing to be posted to the directory.

Q: How long will my business listing be posted on the GMZBIZ directory?
A: One year. Information will be provided to all business listings on the re-listing process for the directory.

Q: Is there local assistance to help me with business information?
A. Local Chambers & Business Assistance referrals are located on the Business Resources page.

Q: How do I get assistance to start or maintain my business?
A. New and potential business owners should seek the guidance of a professional tax consultant, accountant, and/or attorney to help verify that all legal requirements are met before operating a business. Once your business is started business owners should engage in business education programs to further their business growth.
